Stock Register Report [Home](ID: INV101)

1. Introduction

This report provides an overview of inventory stock movements in the TUHUND ERP system . It explains how to navigate the stock register, use filters for efficient search, and interpret stock data.

2. Accessing the Stock Register Page

To access the Stock Register Page in the TUHUND ERP system:

  1. Log in to the TUHUND ERP portal.
  2. Navigate to Inventory > Reports > Stock Register.
  3. The stock register page will display all recorded inventory transactions, including purchases, sales, production, and stock movements.
  4. Use the filters and dropdowns to refine your search for specific records.

3. Understanding Filters & Dropdowns

The Stock Register includes multiple filters to narrow down inventory records based on specific criteria.

3.1 Filters Available

Filter Name

Purpose

Show

Selects which stock movements to display (All, Stock In, Stock Out)

Helps filter stock movements

Sort By

Sorts transactions by Date, Brand, Product, etc.

Organizes data for easy analysis

Order (Ascending/Descending)

Defines sorting order (Newest First, Oldest First)

Controls how data is displayed

Results Per Page

Defines how many records appear per page (50, 100, 500, etc.)

Adjusts data load for readability

Search Bar

Allows searching by product name, serial number, or transaction ID

Quickly finds specific stock records

ENTIRE ORGANISATION

Use this filter to view stock register of specific organisation or branch

To analyze specific branch or organisation stock data

Date Range (From – To)

Filters records based on transaction dates

Analyzes time-based inventory trends


3.2 Dropdown Elements & Their Functions

Show (Transaction Type Filter)

This dropdown allows users to filter inventory movements based on type:

  • Show All → Displays all stock transactions.
  • Stock In → Filters purchases, production entries, and stock adjustments increasing inventory.
  • Stock Out → Displays sales, consumption, and production-related stock usage.

Sort By Dropdown

Users can sort inventory transactions based on:

  • Transaction Date → Organizes records chronologically.
  • Item Index (Serial #) → Groups items by serial number.
  • Brand Name → Filters records by product brand.
  • Product Name → Organizes transactions by product description.

Order Dropdown

This controls the sorting order of records:

  • Ascending (A-Z or Oldest First) → Displays transactions from the earliest date.
  • Descending (Z-A or Newest First) → Displays recent transactions first.

Results Per Page Dropdown

Users can set how many records appear on a page:

  • 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000 (for large datasets).

Recommendation: If handling large data, selecting 1000+ records per page may improve analysis but may slow down page loading.

4. Understanding the Results Table & Data Comparison

After applying filters, the Stock Register displays inventory data in a structured table.

  • High "Stock Out" but low "Stock In" may indicate inventory depletion.
  • Frequent "Sales Returns" suggest product quality issues or customer complaints.
  • Unusual "Production" entries may indicate stock adjustments or internal manufacturing.

  • Stock added via "Purchase" must align with sales and production needs.
  • Items "Moved to Production" should be cross-checked with finished goods inventory.

 

5. Best Practices for Effective Use

  • Regularly update filters to analyze stock movements accurately.
  • Sort by "Stock Out" to track high-selling items and prevent shortages.
  • Check "Sales Returns" to identify defective products and supplier issues.
  • Use date filters to detect seasonal stock fluctuations.
  • Ensure that "Stock In" matches purchase invoices to prevent discrepancies.
